Binak

Murrup Biik was commissioned by the Healesville Uniting Church Reconcilliation group to create a sculptural piece to honour Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung Country and Coranderrk history with a connection to William Barak and Anne Bon.

After weaving a basket from fibre plants collected on Country, the lost wax technique was used by Fundere Foundry to create the bronze basket.

We sourced rocks from Cave Hill quarry that supported this project. Cave Hill has a significant Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung Creation story.
